From the Far East Russia Orca Project / Russian Orcas: "The Pacific Fisheries Research Institute (TINRO) has been one of the organisations that justified the quotas for orca captures. This year, they organised their own capture operation for what they call 'scientific' purposes. In this video they say they will study this baby orca (captured from a mammal-eating population) to find out why orcas (fish-eating orcas!) depredate halibut from longlines. Is it not absurd?"
