Why killer whales don't eat people - an incredibly interesting read looking at the Tlingit legend of Natsilane and his carved orcas, as well as the possible scientific explanations as to why humans don't form part of this apex predator diet:

29 orca sightings off the UK coastline in 2012 (and these are only the sightings reported through the Hebirdean Whale and Dolphin Trust!)
http://www.whaledolphintrust.co.uk/sightings-recent-sightings.asp Update on tagged offshore and Southern resident (K-pod, K25) orcas:
The tagged offshore killer whale and K25, a southern resident killer whale tagged by the Northwest Fisheries Science Center in December, passed each other probably by less than 10 kilometers yesterday. This map shows the offshore killer whale transiting from offshore in the south to offshore in the north and K25 passing from north to south inshore. Although their tracklines overlap just south of Cape Mendocino, California, a comparison of the timing of the tracks suggest they were not in the exact same area at the same time. More information on the offshore tagging at http://www.cascadiaresearch.org/SCORE-offshore-kw.htm and on the tagging of K25 at http://www.nwfsc.noaa.gov/research/divisions/cbd/marine_mammal/satellite_tagging.cfm Keep an eye on the Orcazine website for new blog posts, fantastic orca art and the greatly anticipated first issue of the magazine - we don't know when it will be ready but we can't wait!
